everything is so completely relative that I feel insane putting stock into any effort or emotion.

when my students were behaving like cretins two months ago I was ranting and raving and storming out of the room. now, when my students are doing their best pauly shore on crack imitations, I might yell a bit or gently remove a student from the room...but the end is so near and I have a tan...so I'm just not as pastey or pissed off.

aside:

I hate when someone successfully patronizes me and for a few minutes I actually believe that I'm an idiot whose entire rationale is cow dookey.
