friday marks one fourth of the way through a trying school year.

friday also marks the fourth anniversary of a good friend's death.

both occasions are tremendously emotional in drastically different ways.

On friday when my organization gathers at one of my favorite bars to celebrate end of term...will I be drinking it up only to drive home to mourn the death of a friend...who was killed by a drunk driver?

am I the girl who rants and raves about consistency and logic and stands for something or just the girl who's standing...for fear of being overlooked?
