I think that sometimes we write poetry because we get to wrap our troubles into neat little metaphors thereby escaping the necessity of calling yourself out. I would do this...but I'm fresh out of witty and/or insightful turns of phrases.

I think that the difference between a romantic relationship and a friendship is never sex...if, when you take the sex out of your romantic relationship all that you have left is friendship...then all you ever had was friendship. period.

I think that when I'm hungover (for the record Austin is not like Ann Arbor...it's still big and it's still in Texas) I become a whiny introspective snob.

I've become snobby in general lately. I explained to denis today that I never think that he is stupid...but that I usually become frustrated in my relationships with people when I realize that they're not as intellectual as I had apraised them to be. I want that to be a character flaw belonging to me...but I can't help but find the fault in the wading pool.
