I've been rather down in the dumps as of late.

poor, improperly fed, less than mosturized.

this perpetual squalor prompted me to head down an all too familiar path...not drugs, or cards, or cabarets...but that dingy dumpy - philosophizing about the god damn world all day funk.

Yesterday I all but concluded that I think too damn much and that I should just plain stop thinking about why things exist the way that they do. I should put a lid on my liberal save-the-planet schpiel and go get a pedicure...because I'm not going to change the world one kid at a time...and I'm not going to be master teacher-of-the-universe after 4 monts and no training.

so you could say I was well on my way out of my aforementioned funk.

and less than one hour ago...something happened to speed up that funk-shedding process.

I won a cruise from my apartment complex.

hehehehe

I don't even really like cruises (I took one with 7 other girls once).

But I won something. something...good and pure and American...something many people will be envious of.

so my kids are failing. I won a cruise.

so my face is breaking out. a fun ship cruise.

so my apartment's a mess. goodbye houston.

so my life's a disorganized heap. hello playa del carmen.
